Autumn is the season of ‘butterfly beauty’: amazingly beautiful but also fragile. At DPDK, we love looking for beauty in the most uncommon places. And we love sharing our beautiful finds. This month we have a colourful case for a global tech leader, our favourite links from past month and an article written by our Strategy Director Rob.

At the beginning of 2018, DPDK was appointed as strategic partner with Digital Realty to transform their overall customer experience.

Our collaboration with Digital Realty started not only from building their global corporate website, their most important digital touchpoint, but also with thorough work on Digital Realty’s branding elements and a global content production.


“Find the right angle”


The concept of ‘perspective’ is an important aspect in this project. Stemming from the Digital Realty logo, we’ve brought in the idea of perspective in almost every brand element: from illustration style to website animations and even into brand photography.

We went on a trip around the world for a photo and video shoot to create a personable experience that connects customers with the brand.

Oh my... We won 3 Lovie Awards! The BRONZE & PEOPLE'S LOVIE for the VR EXperience for Soa Aids Nederland in the category '360 Video Branded' & The SILVER LOVIE for the NIKE React Digital campaign in the category 'Best Visual Design'.

And to top it off: we received word that our Nike React campaign also won a gold, silver and a best in show award at W3! #winwinwin

Besa

Besa is our new HR Manager. She gets energy from meeting new people and helping people out. She is very happy to be back in the digital world and to be part of the DPDK family!

Nuša

Nuša is a visual communications graduate. Looking for new digital design challenges, she joined us as a visual designer. When she's not creating eye-catching visuals, you can most likely find her reading a good book, watching Netflix in her comfy Star Wars slippers, or cycling through sunlit Rotterdam.

Niels

Niels is a devolper specialized in front end development. He started when he was 14 with developing and joined DPDK at the age of 17 to learn more about WebGL. When he is not working at DPDK, you can find him in the train back to Brabant or he is learning more about front end developing.
